SocialSage AI is designed as a local-first application. We do not collect, store, or share your personal data, browsing history, or social media content on our servers.

• Local Storage: Your preferences, API keys, and custom personas are stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage API. This data never leaves your browser unless you export it.
• AI Processing: When you use AI features (e.g., auto-reply, summarization), the text content you select is sent securely to the AI provider you have configured (e.g., Google Gemini, OpenAI). This data is used solely for generating the response and is not retained by us.

2. Third-Party Services

The extension interacts with third-party AI providers (Google Gemini, OpenAI, etc.) based on your user settings. Please refer to their respective privacy policies for how they handle API data.

3. Permissions

We request the minimum necessary permissions to function:

• activeTab & scripting: To analyze page content for auto-replies only when you trigger the action.
• sidePanel: To display the user interface.
